A.Baitursynov Kostanay State University (KSU) is the leading educational scientific and methodological centre of the northern part of the country. It comprises 7 Faculties with 34 Bachelor, 21 Master and 4 PhD programmes. The University is a member of European Association of Universities. The activity of the university aims at satisfying the needs of the regional development via improving the quality of research and education.
The Information Technologies Faculty includes 3 Departments (Informatics and Mathematics; Information Systems; Software) and provides education in 4 undergraduate (Mathematics, Informatics, Information systems; Computer engineering and software) and 2 graduate programmes (Computer engineering and software; Informatics).
"The laboratory of computer systems architecture", "Laboratory of hardware interfaces and telecommunications," "Laboratory of Information Systems” have a high-tech software for mastering practical skills, carrying out scientific research. The academic staff of the faculty is involved in the national research projects. Annually the students take prizes in the International competitions in different fields of Computer Science.
The Information Technologies Faculty has strong relations with the industry, its representative participate in educational process via lecturing and evaluation of existing programs. The faculty has introduced multilingual education (teaching in English, Russian and Kazakh) within two bachelor programs.
